Painting Bird Houses

Seeing that painting is such a fun activity, but messy too, the girls and I decided how much fun it would be to paint their bird houses (yes Home Depot Project) outside! Sara said that her bird house is for the Purple Bird and Emily said her bird house is for the Blue Bird. We shall see what birds make their home in our backyard. (Oh and the white shirts are no longer white but it was such fun!)

Planting pansies

Now that spring is here I thought it would be fun for the girls to plant some flowers. Sara and Emily made their own planters at Home Depot at the beginning of the month so all we needed were some flowers. The girls got to pick what color pansies they wanted and had a great time using their shovels, digging in the dirt, and getting dirty. Each day when we go out to play the girls water their plants which reminds me to water my own!

Sara's Story Time

Sara has found a new talent. She loves reading to the living room while she sits on the window sill. You never know who will be the guest reader. One day it will be Jason Varitek the next day it will be Tom Brady. Today is was Tom Brady. Enjoy Sara while she reads a Winnie the Pooh story as Tom Brady.

Amazing Emily!

Here is a video clip of Emily climbing up a "huge" rock wall. You need to watch the whole thing to see how strong Emily is and listen for Jack (Emily's cousin) as he cheers for Emily. Go Emily Go!

Sara's and Emily's Opening Day!

Sara and Emily were all set to watch the pre-game of Opening Day at Fenway. If all things worked well on my end you can see for yourself while you watch their video a few scrolls down. Emily was curious about Manny and Sara could not wait to see her guy Jason Varitek.

The girls loved the Star Spangled Banner and wanted to hear it again when the anthem was over. Hopefully this will be another great season for the Red Sox as well as Sara and Emily!

Go Diego Go!

Today the girls took a trip to the Opera House in Boston to see a live production of Go Diego Go! The girls are huge fans of Dora the Explorer and her cousin Diego the animal rescuer. During the performance the girls helped Diego and Baby Jaguar find Baby Jaguar's roar. All the children that attended got their very own jaguar masks and roared and scratched and jumped just like Baby Jaguar! Dora the Explorer made a surprise visit to help Baby Jaguar too! The girls even got their very own Rescue Packs so they can rescue their own animals at home! Sara, Emily, Mommy and Daddy had a great time!

Thank you Diego!
