Frosty the Snowman!

Sara and Emily had a fabulous time the other night building their own Frosty! With the help of our snowman kit, Frosty came to life and posed for a few pictures. Sara particularly loved Frosty's plastic pipe that held her very own "snow-cone"! Emily enjoyed bringing out her little penguin she got for Christmas. Emily says, "PaPito is a winter animal and loves the snow".

Merry Christmas!

Here are a few more pictures of the girls during Christmas...and what a Christmas it was!

Thank You Papa and Gammie!

Thank you Gammie and Papa for spending time with us during the Christmas Season. We had such a great time playing in our "walk-in" kitchen Christmas night! We make meals everyday now for our teddy bears and our babies. Mommy always gets the usual...a cooked lemon and a cup of coffee with an egg in the cup! Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, but the best part about it is the time we get to spend with our families and friends. Pretty soon we will be taking orders for take-out so keep us on your list!

Thank You Gramma and Grandpa!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful Christmas! We loved seeing you and spending time with you during the holidays. It was so neat seeing you on Christmas Day and opening all the presents with you. We especially love our easel and cannot wait to paint! We also love our new Biscuit books...we read them every night before we go to bed! We hope you had a merry Christmas. Oh and we will make sure you get our first artistic creation to hang on your fridge!

Uncle Mike's Christmas Visit!

Sara and Emily were so happy on Christmas morning when Uncle Mike showed up at our door all the way from Kansas! The whole family was excited to have Mike here for the holiday. For Christmas he gave the girls there very first basketball net! Even though Sara is a little peanut I think she has a future in the WNBA or even the NBA! We have the net in the basement with all their new Christmas toys and the girls are getting better and better each day! Emily has a great hook shot and Sara is practicing her three pointers. We enjoyed Uncle Mike's visit and cannot wait to go visit him this summer in Kansas! Thank you Mike for a great time and Christmas!

My Little Girl's Growing Up!

The other day Emily asked me to paint her toenails with "red polish!" Her teachers at dance class all wear red toenail polish and Emily just loves her dance teachers. So the other day, seeing we are all in the holiday spirit, I painted Emily's sweet little toes! She just loved it! When she went to bed that night she did not want the blanket to cover her polish. At swim she did not want her polish to get wet, but figured out that the polish would not get ruined. Finally, last night she told me that she missed her toes and wanted to see them again...so off went the polish. Emily is so funny and such a love! Oh and Sara wanted nothing to do with the polish...it was too messy!

Here Comes Santa Claus!

This year the girls had a great experience with Santa. In years past the girls have not enjoyed the "sitting on Santa's lap" tradition, but this year was different! Both set of grandparents met us all at "Santa's Castle" and the smiles began to shine! We have been practicing all month for this moment and boy was it fun! We hope you all have a merry Christmas!

Oh Christmas Tree!

The Christmas tree is up and decorated at Sara's and Emily's house! Thanks to Sara and Emily most of our decorations our now on the top half of the tree. We have kept some "child-friendly" decorations down low, but we try to tell the girls to... "look with your eyes, not with your fingers!" The girls were a great help with the decorating process. Emily started off by putting on her shapes which was pretty funny to see and then Sara helped by "throwing" all the decorations from the box on to the floor. It was a wonderful time and we think this is the beginning of a great Christmas!

Stone Zoo Christmas LIghts!

The other night, Sara and Emily met up with their cousins Justin and Liam. We all visited the Stone Zoo's Christmas Lights. The girls loved seeing Justin and Liam and loved looking at all of the holiday sights. The girls even took their very first carousel ride which was so fun to see! The zoo had Santa's real reindeer which amazed Sara and Emily. "Fly reindeer! Fly!" We had to explain to the girls that the reindeer needed to rest up for Christmas. Right before we headed home, the girls took another "first" ride on a mini-train. Justin and Liam rode up front while Sara and Emily traveled in the caboose. (Mommy traveled on the train too!) We had so much fun and hope this becomes a Christmas tradition!

Fun time in the snow!

I have to apologize for not having any new pictures (These are from last winter in Vermont, but at least you can see what the girls look like in their snow suits!), but I was busy having a snowball fight with Emily and Sara yesterday! Emily woke up and looked out her window and was so upset. I asked her what was wrong and she asked me..."Mommy, what happened outside? Oh no the car? Where is my backyard?" I proceeded to explain to Emily and Sara that snow had fallen and we were going to go outside and play!

After spending about half an hour dressing the girls in their snow suits we headed outside! Sara was very cautious about walking on the snow at first, but then realized how fun it can be! Emily figured out that snow...as she says "...is a great little snack!" We then had a lesson about yellow snow. After having our first official snowball fight, the girls headed inside for their first hot chocolate! I think this is going to be a great winter!
